Major General Wasantha De Abrew, Commander, Security Forces-West inspected the ongoing renovation work inside Kedndalanda married quarters complex on 25 January.
Troops of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) in line with the thinking of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva that all Army personnel as a community should live in best comfort and facilities, are engaged in carrying out a series of repairs, renovations and constructions in the Army residential quarters complexes of All Ranks in Kendalanda, Pitipana and Pagoda areas in order to give a new facelift to all buildings with the objective of further enhancing their living standards and providing best of the best facilities.
During this visit, the visiting Commander shared views with troops at work and gave necessary instructions for them to accomplish the construction to meet with high standards.
