Major General D. M. K. D. B Pussella RWP RSP, Commander, Security Forces - West on the guidelines given by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army went to see the War Heroes under rehabilitation at Ragama ‘Ranaviru Sevana’ on account of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year on Monday (24).
The visiting SF-West commander was warmly welcomed to the Ranaviru Sevana by a residing War Hero by offering a sheaf of betel, together with Brigadier B.N Madanayake RWP RSP, Commandant at Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama.
Afterwards, the West Commander closely interacted with the residents and exchanged a couple of thoughts, wishing them fast recovery. At the same time, Major General D. M. K. D. B Pussella distributed a stock of New Year gift packs among them. Those gift parcels had been dispatched to the War Heroes by the Commander of the Army on account of the New Year.
He also left some complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ Book before he left the place.
Major General J. A. R. S. K Jayasekara USP psc, Director General, Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Brigadier L. G. P. D. V Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP, Commander, 141 Infantry Brigade and Senior Officers of the Army Headquarters were included in the entourage.
