Wanni Commanding Officers Attend Workshop

40 Commanding Officers of command battalions and units under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) took part in a two-day workshop, meant for upgrading professional standards of those Officers.

The project, a concept proposed by Major General Champika Ranasinghe, Commander, SF-W got underway for two days 25-26 April at the SFHQ-W.

Major General Saman Liyanage, General Officer Commanding of the 56 Division delivered the keynote speech at the beginning of the programme.

The workshop focused on unit administration, Officers’ career progression, management of troops, performance evaluation, training prospects, policies governing on regimental accounts, pay and allowances, national security and intelligence, command responsibilities on legal background, etc. It also followed an interaction session with the lecturers and the attendees.

A certificate awarding ceremony brought the arrangement to culmination.
