Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, recently visited Rajangana, Kalawewa, Thalakolawewa reservoirs and a few other areas in the vicinity of those reservoirs and evaluated the impact caused by recent floods and spilling of those reservoirs.
The spill gates of Kalawewa and Rajanganaya reservoirs, situated in the 21 Division's area of responsibility were opened due to swelling and spilling water levels, prompting people in low-lying areas to be cautious and vigilant to possible flooding of those areas.
