THE Civil Coordinating office in Batticaloa-based 234 Brigade Headquarters with the support it received from philanthropists in Ganemulla area donated a TV and sports accessories to Vavunathivu Parameshwari Vidyalaya in Batticaloa as a token of goodwill.
The donation included a colour TV set with the antenna and its cable, six cricket bats, six tennis balls, school bags for seventy-five students, donation of a set of six exercise books to each 180 students and a stock of pens, pencils and water colour boxes.
They were handed over to the students, principal and teachers in the school on 19th October 2009. Following donors contributed towards the donation. Mr. Shantha Jayasinghe, Mr. M J V Fernando, Mr. Sarath Kithsiri, Mr. Sunil Chandrathilaka, Mrs. Meuna Sandhaya Chandrathilaka from Ganemulla and Mr. Kuvera Kithsiri Ranasingha from Kalagedihena.
