'Uthura Dakuna Yaakarana Sanhidiyawe Sithuwam Pawura' Paints Mallavi School Buildings

To coincide with the theme of “Uthura Dakuna Yaakarana Sanhidiyawe Sithuwam Pawura”, troops of the 17 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) mobilized students to draw paintings on building walls of the Mallavi Central College premises during 14 - 18 February, following a suggestion made by the General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General D.M.H.D Bandara.

Commander 653 Brigade supervised the project, meant to enhance the public relationship, develop the cooperation and to win hearts and minds of the civil community.

Chairman, “Kolomthota Viyathmaga” (The Voice of Colombo Intellectuals) Professor Surathissa Dissanyake and accompanying artists, painters, teachers of Mallavi Central College, University students, Artists in Mallavi area, students and troops of 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 1 Regiment Special Forces, 7 Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 7 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard and 4 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps contributed to this aesthetic skill.
