Officials of the US Department of State, Ms Sheila Berry, Ms. Emily Fleckner and the Vice Consul Ms Kathryn Bondy at US Embassy during a brief visit to the Jaffna peninsula on Wednesday (30) met Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander Security Forces – Jaffna (SFHQ – J) and exchanged views on security, de-mining, resettlement, ongoing development and reconciliatory moves.
On the same day, the British Deputy High Commissioner Mr Robbie Bulloch together with the Second Secretary (Political) Ms Sarah Mann and Personal Assistant Ms P. Thillainathan called at the SFHQ – J and met Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander SFHQ – J and exchanged views on matters of importance to them.
