The Deputy Chief of Mission in the US Embassy, Mr. Douglas Sonnek after his recent assumption of office paid his first courtesy visit to the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) on Monday (24).
Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni welcomed him and presented a briefing on the role and tasks of the SFHQ-W with special focus on reconciliation, development, assistance to agriculture, security and other general matters of concern.
The US Embassy delegate was accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson, US Senior Defence Official and Defence Attaché, Mr. Seth Nevins, Assistant Defence Attaché, and Ms. Anamika Chakravorty (Political Officer).
