Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson, Senior Defence Official/Defence Attaché and Mr. Seth Nevins, Assistant Defence Attaché of the US Embassy in Sri Lanka made a courtesy call to the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna on Wednesday (23 August).
The visiting delegates were warmly welcomed by the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc on arrival at the office. During the cordial meeting, the Commander and visitors exchanged views on civil-military cooperation, social welfare projects, security concerns, development assistance, nation-building tasks and other general matters in the Jaffna peninsula.
Towards the end of the interaction, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson, Senior Defence Official/Defence Attaché signed the Visitors’ Book and exchanged mementos marking the significance of the visit to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna.
Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna was also associated with the discussion.
