Brigadier General Chok Bahadur Dhakal, the Deputy Force Commander (DFC) of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) made an official visit to the Sri Lankan Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in Naquora, Lebanon on Tuesday (06) June 2023.
The visiting Deputy Force Commander, UNIFIL was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel D.P.L.T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, the Contingent Commander of 14th SLFPC at the main entrance before a formal Guard Turnout greeted the visiting Senior Officer.
His address to the SLFPC troops, followed by an interactive session and an all rank lunch at ‘Sri House’ were among the features in the day’s agenda. Apart from that, a ‘Dog Show’ that demonstrated the capabilities and active commitment of sniffing dogs, owned by the SLFPC was staged before the visiting Brigadier General.
Before his exit, the Deputy Force Commander extended his warm wishes to the SLFPC troops and left compliments in the Visitors' Book leaving memories of his visit.
All Officers and a cross-section of Other Ranks of the 14th SLFPC participated in the day’s programme.
