UN Staff Officers Training Course Ends

The United Nations Staff Officers’ Training Course was held at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) at Kukuleganga during 11 - 27 July and its closing ceremony was held on Wednesday (27) at IPSOTSL.

During the course, presentations on Peace Keeping Operations (PKO), Large Group discussions including, important and cross-cutting PKO issues, Exercises on Military Staff Planning Process and Force HQ-level Integrated Staff Exercises (INSTEX) activities were conducted.

Local student officers including Sri Lanka Army and Air Force as well as foreign student officers followed the course.

Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces-West (SF-West) was the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony.
