Troops of 11 Gemunu Watch (11 GW) under command to the 623 Brigade of the 62 Division of the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni supplied drinking water for families in Uchchalkaddiy village due to travel restrictions in force at present. This programme was conducted as per instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, Major General D. P Upali Gunasekera .
Troops under command to the 62 Division in the meantime conducted an awareness programme on COVID-19 in collaboration with government health authorities in order to educate the public on preventive measures against the rapid spread of COVID-19.
The announcement was made in the area and the programme was conducted under the supervision of Brigadier G Prabath Kodituwakku, Commander 623 Brigade.
