Two newly - promoted Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) were felicitated in conformity with military traditions upon their arrival at the SLA Regimental Centre at Panagoda after their promotions as Majors General on Tuesday (01).
Major General Manjula Kariyawasam and Major General Janaka Ranasinghe, the two new two - star Generals on arrival were saluted in separate Guard Turnouts before they were honoured in parades at the parade ground.
Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, together with Officers and Other Ranks of the Gunners’ family were there to greet both Senior Officers.
Group photographs and an All Rank lunch brought the day’s agenda to an end.
