With the close cooperation of the 663 Brigade area under the 66 Division in Karachchi and Pooneryn, the Divisional Secretariat gave away solar panels to ten poor families in Vannerikulam, Jayapuram, Veravil and Vallaipadu areas for generation of power for their homes on Thursday (21).
Beneficiaries were selected by the troops and Grama Seva officials on the guidelines given by the Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi, Major General Vijitha Ravipriya in liaison with the General Officer Commanding, 66 Division Major General M.D Wijesundara.
The simple ceremony, organized by troops 15 Sri Lanka Artillery and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard of 663 Brigade for distribution of those solar panels was attended by Colonel Subashan Liyanagama, Commander 663 Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer and beneficiaries. Religious leaders, school principals and Grama Seva officials were also present at those locations during the distribution.
During the same ceremony, Turkey Berry plants were also distributed among needy families in order to encourage gardening and cultivation. A large gathering took part in the arrangements. Sports brands | Trending
