Troops of SF - Jaffna Inaugurates Water Project, New Home for Family

The 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment recently erected a water supply project at St. Fatima Roman Catholic School, marking a milestone in community service. Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Forces - Jaffna (SF - J), inaugurated the facility that could provide drinking water to children and staff of school.

In addition to this, the troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry undertook the construction of a new house for a needy family residing in Anandapuram. The family, consisting of a mother and her young child, faced challenges due to the absence of her husband. The Commander of SF - J vested the house to the beneficiaries during a ceremony held on 02 April 2024. Generous philanthropists residing in America sponsored the construction of the house.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Mr. S Mularitharan, Additional District Secretary of Kilinochchi, Rev. Sister Nirmala Wasanthan, Principal of St. Fatima Roman Catholic School, Students and local community participated in those ceremonies.
