Troops of the 121 Brigade under the 12 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central, together with 12 Division Intelligence troops and Policemen at Wellawaya Police Station during a special operation pulled out some 7000 plus cannabis saplings from Aluthwela area in Wellawaya on Sunday (14).
On a tip-off received by the General Officer Commanding, 12 Division, Major General Lanka Amarapala, the raid was conducted on the cultivation in participation with Policemen. All captured Cannabis saplings were handed over to the Wellawaya Police Station for further investigations.
