25 underprivileged families residing in Navatkuli area and 16 kids attending ‘Lakdaru’ pre-school in Navatkuli, Jaffna were gifted dry ration packs and school accessories respectively with sponsorship, provided by Organization of National Heritage Protection.
Troops of the 52 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on the directions of Brigadier G.G.A.S Wickramasena, General Officer Commanding, 52 Division organized the donation of those relief packs each worth about Rs 3500/=.
Under the programme, 16 kids of the pre-school received books and school accessories on the same occasion.
Brigade Commander of the 523 Brigade, Colonel General Staff and Colonel Admin and Quartering of 52 Infantry Division, Commanding Officer 12th Battalion of Gemunu Watch, senior officers and troops were also present during the distribution by adhering to health guidelines.
