JAFFNA: TROOPS deployed north of A-9 at MUHAMALE Friday (14) confronted Tiger terrorists and killed two terrorists while injuring a large number of other LTTE cadres when they tried to infiltrate into the Forward Defence Line (FDL) during day time..
One soldier was also injured in the clashes..
Meanwhile, troops in PONNAR the same day (14) recovered 47 anti personnel mines which were previously laid by Tiger terrorists in the area during day time search operations..
Troops in the meantime Saturday (15) recovered one pistol magazine, a cleaning rod sixty-six live ammunitions, four hand grenade, a length of death cord wire, one 9 V battery and a weapon tool kit from KODIKAMAM area after civil information around 5.45 a.m..
