The financial support, extended by Rev Father Jesudasan in Batticaloa, 11 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Officers (SLSR) and 11 SLSR soldiers under the guidance of the Commander 231 Brigade, Brigadier W.M.N.K.D Bandara enabled troops to distribute dry ration packs, each worth about Rs 4000/= among 30 needy families in Keviliyamadu area on 28 November 2021.
The Commanding Officer 11 (V) SLSR organized the programme to facilitate the delivery of those relief packs, inclusive of rice, dhal, dry fish, spices, packeted products, etc among low income families at Keviliyamadu area, one of the most poverty-stricken remote areas in the district.
The donor, Rev Father Jesudasan, Commanding Officer 11 (V) SLSR, Major M.W.M Udayakumara, 11(V) SLSR Officers and 11 SLSR troops joined the project, adhering to health guidelines.
