Troops Bid Farewell to Retiring Commander SF- West

The Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) presented a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour to the outgoing Major General Chula Abenayake, Commander, Security Forces-West (SF-West) on the relinquishment of his appointment as the Commander, Security Forces - West during a formal farewell, held at the premises at Panagoda on Monday (7).

Troops of the Gemunu Watch (GW) presented the Guard Turn out and the Guard of Honour salute in the parade square at the SFHQ-West to bid farewell to the retiring Commander SF-West. Officers of the SFHQ-West, General Officers Commanding of the 14, 61 Divisions and Brigade Commanders, Directors, Center Commandants, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks of the SF HQ-West witnessed the farewell parade and the ceremony.

Later on, addressing the troops of the SFHQ-West, the outgoing Major General Chula Abenayake thanked All Ranks for the generous assistance and support, extended to him during his tenure as the Commander, SF-West.
