Troops of the 542 Infantry Brigade organized a vibrant cultural dance competition themed 'Our Culture' on 21 February 2024 at the Mannar Town Hall. The event aimed at nurturing bonds of friendship and honing the talents of school children in Madhu and Mannar areas.
Fourteen school teams enthusiastically participated, showcasing their cultural heritage through mesmerizing performances. At the culmination of the competition, each team was presented with a gift pack, encouraging their continued engagement and enthusiasm.
The event was organized under the guidance of Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division and the Commander, 542 Infantry Brigade. The event was a collaborative effort of the 4 Gajaba Regiment and the 8 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, respective government officials and civilians witnessed the cultural show.
