Travel Restrictions Removed – NOCPCO

As of this morning (25), a total of 1,941 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 24 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,917 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 386 from Gampaha District, 261 from Colombo District, 252 from Kalutara District and 1018 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (25), a total of 248,049 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 114,913 were reported after the New Year.

By Friday (25) morning (past 24 hours), 1,639 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. 45 deaths have been reported including 27 males and 18 females on 23 June 202.

By Friday (25) morning, 700 persons have left 23 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (25), 8,283 persons in 74 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (25) at the time this communiqué was released, movement restrictions have been removed.
