Thirukkovil Troops Clean School Ahead of Its Opening

Troops of the 8th Battalion of the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) under command to the 242 Brigade launched a ‘Shramadana’ project to clean Kanchirankuda GTMS school in Thirukkovil area in cooperation with parents and students on Monday (25).

Considering the need to have the school opened as per directions of Provincial Education Authorities, the event was organized on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding - 24 Division Major General Chaminda Lamahewa and under the supervision of the Commander 242 Brigade Brigadier Chandika Peiris.
