Based on a concept of the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W), Major General Jagath Gunawardena, the 1st Regiment of Military Intelligence Corps conducted a Unit Intelligence Course for Officers and Other Ranks.
These courses were conducted under two separate stages for Officers and Other Ranks from 29 July 2019 to 10 August 2019 and 20 - 31 August 2019 respectively. 30 Student Officers followed this course and a total of 93 Other Ranks participated in the course conducted for them.
The unit intelligence course included theoretical and practical sessions to make aware all students of Basic Intelligence, Intelligence Cycle, Interrogation Surveillance, Security and many other subject fields of relevance to military intelligence.
