Swiss Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Commander

HE Mr Heinz Walker - Nederkoorn, Ambassador of Switzerland for Sri Lanka made a courtesy call on the new Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on Thursday (20) at the Army Headquarters Colombo.

During the cordial meeting, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army and the visiting Swiss Ambassador focused on matters of mutual interest and ongoing Army-oriented community projects across the island.

Towards the end of the friendly meeting, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake presented a memento to the envoy as a token of goodwill and understanding.

Defence Attaché in the Swiss Embassy Colonel Christof Gertsch was also present during the courtesy visit.

Before the envoy’s departure, he left his compliments in the Visitors’ Book.
