Troops of the 211 Brigade of the 21 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni with sponsorship, received from Mrs Harshani Gunasekara Chitrasiri and Mrs Roanne Thomas of Old Girls' Association of Musaeus College, Colombo organized the distribution of 63 gift packs of school accessories and 63 dry ration packs, along with delicious lunch packets among deserving students of Karambankulam primary school and Kapirikagama primary school in Anuradhapura, situated in the Medawachchiya and Rambewa DS Divisions on 8 October 2022.
The donation programme, coordinated by the Civil Affairs section of the 211 Brigade got underway at respective schools where Brigadier Chaminda Wijayaratne, 211 Brigade Commander attended the occasion as the Chief Guest. The value of relief dry rations and school aids exceeded Rs 6 lakhs.
Representing the Musaeus College Old Girls' Association, Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya was present at the distributing events. The Commanding Officer of 14 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) Regiment, 2 In Command of 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer of the 211 Infantry Brigade and troops of the 14 SLA and 2 (V) VIR cooperated with the project.
