Students of Needy Families Given Free School Accessories

With the noble intention of uplifting educational standards of students of low-income groups living in the general areas of Iluppakadawai, Anthonipuram and Mundampiddy, troops of the 54 Division with sponsorship of donors distributed school accessories among 50 students at the Iluppakadavai Maha Vidyalaya premises on 22 August.

Mr Romesh and Mrs Michal Ubayasiri of Nawala Koswatta at the request of the 54 Division's General Officer Commanding Major General Darshana Wijesekera came forward to sponsor the cost of those incentives to those students of low income group families.

542 Brigade Commander, Colonel (Coord) 54 Division, Commanding Officer of 12 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Artillery, Senior Officers, Assistant Divisional Director Education, Principals and Teachers were among those who were present during the distribution.
