Sri Lankan ASL Delegation Meets Instructors at Pakistan ASL

Thirteen Student Officers following the Logistics Staff Course No 7 at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) in Trincomalee under the prevailing ‘Army to Army’ cooperation project between Pakistan and Sri Lankan armed forces were invited to the ASL of the Pakistan Army in Kuldana in Pakistan for a goodwill visit.

The Sri Lankan delegation included the Commandant, ASL, four members of the Directing Staff and one Bangladesh student officer under training at the ASL in Trincomalee.

During the stay in Pakistan, the Sri Lankan delegation interacted with Officers and course attendees at the Pakistan ASL, Army Supply Corps School in Nowshera, Pakistan Air Force Logistics Depot in Rawalpindi, Aviation Base Workshop, Army Service Corps Centre, Base Supply Depot, Central Ordnance Depot, Central Mechanical Transport and Store Depot, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Depot and several other places of professional significance to the field of logistics.

During the two-week long stay in Pakistan, the Sri Lankan delegation enjoyed the hospitality of Pakistan Army troops who also during the itinerary took them to different places of tourist interest including the Indo-Pakistan border between Amristar and Lahore, the ancient city of Taxila and its ruins of Gandhara civilization and arts, Buddhist places of worship and memory and several other places of attractions.

Brigadier J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara, Commandant at ASL, Trincomalee headed the Sri Lankan delegation during the tour (September 27 - October 7)
