Sri Lanka Army Holds 56th Inter Regiment Tug of War Competition

The 56th Inter Regiment Tug of War Competition, organized by the Army Athletic Committee, got underway from 28 to 29 February 2024 at the Russel High Ground with the participation of 24 teams under three weight categories representing various Regiments.

Major General S.W.M. Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces - West, graced the prize awarding ceremony as the chief guest. The event was arranged under the guidance of Major General R.A.J.N. Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, the Chairman of Army Athletic Committee.

560kg Men’s Second Place – Sri Lanka Light Infantry

560kg Men’s Third Place – Gemunu Watch

640kg Men’s First Place – Sri Lanka Artillery

640kg Men’s Second Place – Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

640kg Men’s Third Place – Sri Lanka National Guard

560kg Women’s First Place – Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps

560kg Women’s Second Place – Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps
