The Sri Lanka Army emerged as the champions of the 84th Annual Two Mile Sea Swim Championship, hosted by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) on 15-16 March 2024 at Mount Lavinia Beach. Over 450 competitors representing 47 teams, including swimming clubs and schools, participated in the event.
During the event, Army swimmers, including Major General A.C.A. De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Aquatic Sports Team, showcased their strength and prowess in the events.
The Army Aquatic Sport team secured the Tri-Services Championship and the Overall Championship of the men’s event, achieving the highest aggregated marks. Hon. Sagala Ratnayaka, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the President on National Security, graced the event as the chief guest.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were also present during the event.
