Special Infantry Operations Team Receives Graduation at ATS

The passing out parade (PoP) of the Special Infantry Operations Team (SIOT), Course No 58 was held at the Army Training School (ATS), Maduru Oya on Friday (30).

Brigadier Athula Koddippily, Commandant, ATS, Maduru Oya took the salute in the parade as the Chief Guest of the event.

During his speech to the occasion, the day’s Chief Guest emphasized the importance of SIOT training.

This is a specialized training, meant only for Regular Infantry Battalions of the Army on the directions of the Directorate of Infantry.

10 officers and 181 other rankers passed out after training for more than 06 months during this PoP.

Brigadier Athula Koddippily, Commandant, ATS along with Commanding Officer, and Chief Instructor, ATS pinned the qualification badges on the graduates.
