The Special Forces (SF) Regimental Centre troops at Naula recently coordinated the distribution of 29 dry ration packs among 29 Tamil families during a simple ceremony.
The donation, sponsored by Mr Lahiru Abeywickrama at the request of the SF Regimental Centre consisted of 29 dry ration packs, each worth Rs 7500.00. Essentials like rice, dhal, peas, flour, sugar, tinned foods, spices and other varieties were in those dry ration packs. Troops with the support of Grama Seva officials picked the most deserving families in the area for receipt of those parcels.
Centre Commandant, Special Forces Regimental HQ, Officers, Other Rankers and the donor with family members attended the event, organized with the objective of promoting sound relations with the communities living around the camp.
