A training programme on use of the battery and maintenance of tyres in Army vehicles got underway at the 5 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps camp under the supervision of the Forward Maintenance Area - North on Friday (14).
The training given by the CEAT Private Limited during the project, focused on proper maintenance of tyres, rebuilding of tyres, categorization of tyres and effective and careful use of tyres.
The Browns Private Limited meanwhile provided training on correct maintenance of the battery and its maximum usage in order to get the best durability and efficiency.
A total of 72 troops from different establishments under the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna took part in the training programme.
