The unmatched generosity, being lent by the Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation of Ven Talagala Sri Sumanaratana Nayake Thero and the Tan Ngak Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited (Singapore) enabled troops of the 144 Brigade and 2 (v) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry of the 14 Division under the Security Force HQ-West to give away one more consignment of 330 packs of dry rations to poverty-stricken families living in Kaduwela area on 01 July 2022 after inviting them to the Hewagama Primary school premises.
The Brigade Commander, 144 Brigade, Brigadier Vindana Kodituwakku in response to the request of the donors coordinated the project with respective Grama Seva officials in the Divisional Secretariat before the beneficiaries were invited to the school compound after issue of tokens of receipt. Dry Ration packs consisted of rice, dhal, spices, cereals, flour, dry fish, noodles, etc
Ven Talagala Sri Sumanaratana Nayake Thero,Ven Malwane Pangnasara Thero, Incumbent at Hewagama Viharaya, Divisional Secretary for Kaduwela area, Principal at Hewagama Primary School, Brigadier Vindana Kodituwakku, 144 Brigade Commander and Officers also participated in the distribution.
