SLMA Intake - 1 Senior Veterans Share Memories with Commander

Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army, setting apart a share of his busy daily schedule, met a group of Senior Officers, belonging to the Intake - 1 of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) with a view to refreshing good memories and past experiences as the Intake - 1 completed 50 years in the SLMA history.

At the Commander's Office, the Commander spoke to them and refreshed their minds by taking them down the memory lane and inquired into their well-being as they have now matured and are living in their dotage.

A special get-together of past graduates of the Intake-1 of the Academy in Diyatalawa recently consequent upon a suggestion, made by the Commander of the Army, marked the golden anniversary of the Intake - 1 at Diyatalawa where all of them were feted in a fitting ceremony.

Four past graduates, out of fourteen officers of the Intake-1 met the Commander of the Army this morning (4) and shared their concerns with special relevance to yesteryear memories.

Before their departure, the Commander extended best wishes on their seniority and dedicated services they rendered towards the organization as Senior Officers of the Intake - 1 of the SLMA.
