The Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda on Friday (23 June) hosted a farewell parade to bid goodbye to one of its proud Senior Officers, Brigadier T.C.K Peiris RWP RSP who were to retire after a dedicated service of more than three decades.
The day’s ceremony commenced with the customary Guard Turnout at the entrance to the Regimental HQ and a formal farewell Guard of Honour parade that followed at the RHQ parade ground afterwards. He subsequently paid floral tribute to the SLLI War Heroes' monument in order to remember the sacrifices of SLLI War Heroes.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the SLLI participated in the day’s farewell event.
