The Annual ISF Half Marathon organized by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) under the supervision of the Lebanese Athletics Federation and the Director General of the Internal Security Forces in Beirut, Lebanon got underway on Sunday (11 June).
This marathon race was organized for the 13th consecutive year under the theme: “We run together despite everything” and nearly 1600 runners from various sports clubs and universities, as well as the individual runners (men and women) in Lebanon, Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), Internal Security Forces (ISF), General Security, State Security, Customs, Beirut Fire Brigade and the UNIFIL, participated in the race under separate age categories.
Representing the Sri Lankan Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in UNIFIL, the following participants won medals after completing the 21.1 km long half marathon in less than 3 hours.
