The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) Regimental HQ at Colombo 2 bade farewell to Major General J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara USP psc, the retiring Director General of the Directorate of Electrical & Mechanical Engineers on 23 September amidst a gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
The day's programme commenced after the arrival of Major General J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara USP psc who was welcomed by the SLEME Regimental HQ Center Commandant. A Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted the outgoing Colonel Commandant.
After a while, Major General J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara USP psc shared refreshments with All Ranks where he had close interactions with all ranks.
A customary farewell dinner in the same evening at the SLEME Officers' Mess culminated with the presentation of a special commemorative memento by Major General S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Commander, Army Logistic Command and SLEME Colonel Commandant.
Major General J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara USP psc has been holding the office of the Director General of the Directorate of Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, Army Headquarters at the time of his retirement.
