SLEME Officers Go for Training with Toyota Lanka

The Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited once again provided training in electrical and mechanical engineering for 25 Army personnel of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) for two days from 15-16 February at Toyota Lanka training premises in Wattala.

To be in line with the conceptual guidance of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Director General Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Major General Ranjan Jayasekera, took the initiative for this training programme.

It focused on general maintenance and hi-tech repairs of vehicles available in Sri Lanka and how such techniques can be applied to the Army fleet. During the programme, those SLEME Officers had the opportunity to enhance and uplift their knowledge on advanced technology of vehicles’, fault finding, trouble-shooting and application of latest technology, related to the durability of the vehicles.

The workshop was well organized by Mr Sachio Yotsukura Chairman - Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Mr Mano Athukorala - CEO Toyota Lanka and Mr Udaya Francis, Consultant - Toyota Lanka.
