The Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) Regimental Headquarters hosted a farewell parade on 03 May 2023 to bid goodbye to one of its proud Senior Officers, Brigadier M Mayadunna RSP USP, who retired after a dedicated service of more than three decades.
The day’s ceremony commenced with the customary Guard Turnout and a formal farewell Guard of Honour parade that followed at the RHQ parade ground.
In the evening a customary farewell dinner was hosted to the retiring Senior Officer where SLE Officers and their spouses participated.
The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu delivered the farewell speech extending a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for the service he has rendered.
Brigadier M. Mayadunna RSP USP in turn thanked the Colonel Commandant, all Officers and All Ranks for the support they extended during his tenure.
