SLE Colonel Commandant Calls at School of Military Engineering & Engineer Brigade

The Chief Field Engineer (CFE) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General M.K Jayawardena on Sunday (18) paid a formal visit to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering (SLSME) at Embilipitiya at the invitation of Colonel Krishan Manoharan, Commandant, SLSME.

The CFE was warmly welcomed in a drive past Guard Turnout before he was received by the Commandant. Afterwards, the Commandant conducted a comprehensive briefing on the training modules of the school before he undertook a field visit in the compound.

After a while, the visiting CFE addressed the troops and highlighted the importance of professional standards. Finally, the Commandant presented a special memento to the Colonel Commandant before his departure from the SLSME.

Meanwhile, the SLE Colonel Commandant on Sunday (18) visited the General Engineering Brigade HQ at Kachchigala.

He was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Chandika Peiris, Brigade Commander of the General Engineering Brigade after a drive pass.

Afterwards, the Colonel Commandant declared open the newly-constructed Brigade Commander Chalet and addressed the Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Engineering Brigade. The event culminated with a customary lunch.

The Brigade Commander, General Engineering Brigade, Colonel Project, General Engineering Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
