SLCMP Holds its 31st Regimental Day

The 31st Regimental Day of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was held on Thursday (22) at the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Regimental Centre at Polhengoda.

Major General Ranjan Premalal, Colonel Commandant, SLCMP and Commander, Logistic Command HQ attended as the Chief Guest. He was welcomed by Colonel Laksman Bamunusinghe, Centre Commandant upon his arrival at the entrance and was greeted to a Guard Turnout. A Guard of Honour that followed afterwards saluted him as another formality on the Regimental Day.

A group photograph and refreshments at the Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants' Mess led the day's Chief Guest to address SLCMP troops who had gathered there.

Major General Wasantha Madola Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army with the invitation of Colonel Commandant grace the occasion of all ranks lunch as the chief guest. Colonel Commandant SLCMP, Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Regimental Sergeant Majors and Other Ranks participated for the event.
