Major General Darshana Wijesekera, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) paid courtesy visits to 5 (V) SLAWC (Welikanda), 1 SLAWC, (Borella) and the SLAWC Training School, Kaluaggala respectively on 24, 27 and 28 March 2023 with a view to receiving updates.
Upon arrival at separate locations, the chief guest was saluted with Guard Turnouts and was warmly welcomed by respective Commanding Officers and the Chief Instructor of the Training School. During the visits, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops, participated in All-Rank tea arrangements and sat for group photographs with the troops.
In addition, the visiting Colonel Commandant warmed a newly-built tailoring unit at the 1 SLAWC camp at Borella during his visit to the formation on 27 March.
