Under the guidance of Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), a new house was erected for a Non-Commissioned Officer’s (NCO) family in Giradurukotte, Mahiyanganaya area. The new house was vested in the NCO’s family on 11 April 2024 during a brief ceremony.
ASVU granted a monetary donation worth 450,000/- to complete this house using technical skills and manpower assistance of the troops of the Engineer Services Regiment and 3 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment for the construction work.
During the warming ceremony, the house keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by the Commanding Officer of 3 (V) SLAWC, Major H.H.H De Silva.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and family members of NCO were among the participants in the warming ceremony.
