SLAVF Troops Learn about Stress Management

Facilitating the most required awareness and follow-up of stress management, a lecture was conducted to coincide with the first training day in the month of April at the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) multifunctional hall on 19 April under the guidance of Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, Commandant SLAVF.

The lecture was delivered by Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF who is a professionally- qualified in counselling and psychology.

The session was blended with a therapeutic experience on music that traces the weighing of hearts, and it brought a comprehensive awareness with respect to stress management and a physically and emotionally-contended life. He spelt out on the role of a soldier and how it could be navigated to its destination amidst stress and through its management.

A gathering of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the lecture.
