SLAVF Reviews ‘Impact of Economic Crisis’ in Lecture Session

An informative lecture session, organized on a conceptual notion of Major General S.U.M.N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) got underway on Friday (07 July) at the SLAVF Headquarters as a “Diners’ Club” feature.

The session, themed on the “Passive Impact of Economic Crisis of Sri Lanka on Cultural & Behavioural Changes of Young Generation and its Effects on the Military” was attended by the SLAVF Commandant as the Guest of Honour while the veteran scholar, Mr. Damith Pallewatte joined the occasion as the Chief Guest cum Guest Speaker.

Formalities and proceedings in connection with the occasion were lined up under the close supervision of Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, Deputy Commandant, SLAVF. At the outset of the session, a warm welcome was extended to the scholarly gathering with opening remarks, made by Brigadier W.G.P Sisira Kumara RSP, Inspector of Training at SLAVF.

The Guest Speaker, Mr. Damith Pallewatte in his lecture to the occasion presented a barrage of perspectives, related to the chosen theme and observed that there remains a notable change in behaviour which inevitably deserves some sort of tutoring that applies to the contexts.

The interactive session followed a question-answer session where the participants were able to widen their horizons on issues and concerns. Towards the conclusion, the Guest Speaker was awarded a memento by the SLAVF Commandant as a token of appreciation and the vote of thanks was raised by Colonel T.S.B.R Fernando, Colonel Training, SLAVF.

The SLAVF Principal Staff Officer, Brigadier Administration, Senior Officers and Officers of the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force and invitees were associated with the informative session.
