SLAVF Deputy Commandant Takes Stock of Admin Matters of SLAVF Troops in East

The routine administrative inspection that streamlines the establishment standards and sound managerial mechanism got underway at the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) battalions deployed under the Security Force HQ- East during 6- 8 September as a key feature in the SLAVF calendar under the directions of Major General D.M K.D.B Pussella RWP RSP, Commandant, SLAVF.

The inspection project was presided by Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, Deputy Commandant, SLAVF and performed by a group of staff officers and other ranks of the SLAVF Headquarters at Kosgama.

The inspection mainly focused on conduct of regular administrative assignments, functional aspects, accountability and efficiency of battalions under their areas of responsibility where the SLAVF Deputy Commandant interacted closely with officers and other ranks of volunteer battalions and provided alternative solutions to their concerns.

The visiting SLAVF Deputy Commandant addressed the troops spelling out the significance on reassessing administration matters of the battalions in order to ensure qualitative upliftment and the maintenance of the same on a par with stipulated structures of the Sri Lanka Army.

During this period, the Deputy Commandant paid visits to the 3 Military Intelligence Corps, 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Signal Corps and 11(Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment camps where he was honoured in Guard Turnouts respectively in accordance with military traditions.

Major General M.K.U.P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, Commander Security Forces-East, General Officers Commanding of 22, 23, & 24 Divisions, Senior Officers and Officers of respective battalions extended their co-operation for interactive discussions.
