The Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), Major General M.K. Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, paid his maiden visit to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) on 12 February 2024.
The Commandant, SLAVF was warmly welcomed by Colonel J.A.G. Jayarathne KSP, the Commandant, VFTS, at the camp premises.
Afterwards, Colonel J.A.G. Jayarathne KSP delivered a comprehensive briefing on VFTS and ongoing courses. Subsequently, trainees of the Administrative Assistant Course presented a documentary programme showcasing their strengths enriched by the knowledge and training received during the course to the visiting Commandant, SLAVF.
Later on, Commandant, SLAVF awarded certificates of National Vocational Qualification to the course participants followed by the troops address.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
