Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) made his first formal visit to the 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (2 (v) SLLI) HQ in Kelnimulla on Tuesday (23).
Major W.M.S. Kumara, Commanding Officer, 2 (V) SLLI welcomed him before a Guard Turnout greeted him on his arrival at the camp entrance.
During the visit, the SLAVF Commandant made a field visit around the camp premises and discussed matters pertaining to administration and logistics. Afterwards, he addressed the troops and spoke high of the importance of the Battalion.
During his stay, he was also invited to visit the Regimental Museum and left memories by planting a sapling.
