SLAVF Commandant Makes Formal Visit to 2 SLAMC Camp

The Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda on Monday (21) made a formal visit to the 2 nd Battalion Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) in Panagoda.

He was received by Major R.A.A.W Wijayasinghe, Commanding Officer, 2 SLAMC

The Commanding Officer after formal welcome remarks presented a comprehensive account on the role and tasks of the 2 SLAMC and its present location to the visiting Commandant. The Commandant afterwards undertook an inspection tour in the camp premises and addressed the gathering of All Ranks.

Major General Christy Jayasinghe, Deputy Commandant, SLAVF, Brigadier Rohitha Wijerathna, Brigadier Administration, Brigadier Sanjaya Pathirana, Brigadier Logistics, SLAVF, Brigadier Keerthi Wijeratne, Volunteer Coordinator of the SFHQ-West and senior officers represented the SLAMC.

Brigadier Parakrama Wickramasooriya, Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial, Brigadier Reka Makuloluwa, Consultant Anesthesiologist, Colonel Lakmini Ranasinghe, MS in Community Medicine, Colonel Aindralal Balasooriya, Specialist in Community Medicine, Lieutenant Colonel W.T.T De Silva, Specialist in General Surgery and several senior officers attended the occasion. The programme was conducted adhering to COVID-19 health directions.
